Neuron Percussion was born from Mark Bennett’s love for drumming, and a devastating disease that meant he could no longer drum himself.
In 2007 Mark, a professional drummer, founded Neuron Percussion to keep connected with his beloved drummer community, with Motor Neuron disease meaning he couldn’t play anymore.
Mark continued with the business until he sadly lost his life to Motor Neuron in May 2008.
Mark’s younger brother Craig decided to keep the business running in Mark’s honour. A world-wide market crash, challenges with suppliers and an injury saw Neuron Percussion take a break for a while.
But Craig continually saw a gap in the market as he worked with drummers in the music industry, as a roadie, stage and drum tech, and through BV Entertainment, his promotion and production company.
He’s now relaunched Neuron Percussion, with a new look and quality brands and products previously not available to New Zealand drummers.
